Committees

These are the committees defined within Soroptimist International of the Kachinas. Click the view members link or the committee name to see a list of committee members. Community Service Committee
To provide programs of service as the "Dream" programs; oversees these programs using guidelines by te governing bodies of Soroptimist; directs all other service projects the Club decides to provides; responsible to prepare and submit reports as directed.

Finance Committee
Periodically reviews the financial affairs of the Club; makes recommendations to the Board/Club regarding financial planning and policies; presents each fiscal year a budget; performs other duties as required by procedures adopted by governing bodies.
International Goodwill and Understanding Committee
Arranges gifts to be sent annual to the Club's Friendship Link(s); sends personal notes, photographs, etc.; promotes understanding of purposes and programs of the United Nations. particularly those related to the status of women; presents programs that promote understanding of the Club's Friendship Link's culture and country.
Laws and Resolutions Committee
Reviews the Club's bylaws and procedures annually; makes recommendations to the Board for any needed amendments or changes; formulates, prepares, and edits proposed amendments and resolutions; interprets governing bodies bylaws and procedures upon request of the Board/Club Members.

Membership Committee
Programs, Education and Leadership Committee
Identifies, contacts and schedules speakers for Club Program Meetings; has general responsibility for educating all on heritage, purpose, objectives, policies and programs of the organization know as - Soroptimist Orientation Leadership Training (SOLT); prepares members for leadership within the organization and in the community.
Publicity Committee
Responsible for Club communications; advertising and communicating news about upcoming events and activities using various methods.
Social Committee
Welcomes guests at meetings and functions; plans social functions for the year; assists with the planning of meals, decorations and other related materials for Club fundraisers.
Ways & Means (Fundraising) Committee
Suggests methods to raise money that meets budget and financial commitments; directs all fundraising projects approved by the Club; plans fundraising events. All Club members belong to this committee, but the core committee directs.
